GOVERNOR LAMONT PROVIDES UPDATE ON CONNECTICUT’S CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE EFFORTS (Latest Data as of 6:00PM on Monday, July 6, 2020)

NEW REPORTING SCHEDULE: Effective immediately, the State of Connecticut will continue to publish these COVID-19 metric reports five days a week, every Monday through Friday. The report that is issued every Monday will include combined data that was collected on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This schedule will remain in effect until further notice.

Governor Lamont signs 59^th executive order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19

Governor Lamont today signed another executive order – the 59^th since he enacted the emergency declarations – that builds upon his efforts to encourage mitigation strategies that slow down transmission of the virus. Executive Order No. 7FFF enacts the following provisions:

• Modifying minimum service hours for private non-medical institutions for adults: Modifies the number of service hours required to be provided by certain group homes and the requirement that group homes perform semi-annual times studies of their services in order to receive monthly Medicaid payments.

Secretary Merrill announces recruitment effort for poll workers in the primary and general elections

Recognizing that the August and November elections will have unique challenges related to COVID-19, Secretary of the State Denise Merrill today announced a statewide effort to recruit poll workers for Connecticut’s primary and general elections.
