After Tropical Storm Isaias hit Connecticut, I walked through my district offering to help out residents in any way I could. I heard from many that they just wanted to know when they would get power back. Was it a day, two days, two weeks? When I reached out to Eversource administrators, I had a difficult time getting the answers to these questions. 

We need to do more to hold public utilities accountable, and I was happy to speak in support of HB 7006, An Act Concerning Emergency Response by Electric Distribution Companies, the Regulation of Other Public Utilities and Nexus Provisions for Certain Disaster-Related or Emergency-Related Work Performed in the State. The Take Back Our Grid Act is the first step to putting people over shareholders and developing solutions to these longstanding issues.
