Steinberg Reappointed Chair of House Public Health Committee

House Speaker-designate Matt Ritter (D-Hartford) and House Majority Leader Jason Rojas (D-East Hartford, Manchester) today announced that State Representative Jonathan Steinberg (D-Westport) will remain the House Chair of the Public Health Committee.

"The COVID pandemic has illustrated that public health is more important than ever. Jonathan has proven time and time again that he is up for the challenge," said Speaker-designate Ritter. "His dedication and hard work, especially during these unprecedented times, has made a tremendous difference. I am thrilled that he will continue to chair this committee."

"Jonathan's leadership as the Chair of the Public Health Committee has proven to be invaluable," said Majority Leader Rojas. "There were several tough conversations surrounding public health this year, and Jonathan was able to navigate them with ease. I am eager to see his work for the upcoming session."
