| To help residents who may be struggling financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic, United Illuminating and Southern Connecticut Gas have extended their respective COVID-19 payment plans until July 20, 2021.
Both utilities are offering payment plans which:
- Are available to any residential or business customer requesting financial assistance, without demonstrating financial need;
- Require no initial or down payment;
- Can be up to 24 months in length;
- No fees or interest in the calculation of the monthly payment amount;
- Facilitate the repayment of the past due balances in addition to the customer’s current monthly bill.
