Food Distribution Event in Westport this Tuesday, May 4

Next Tuesday, May 4, the Westport Department of Human Services will be distributing a limited number of USDA Food Boxes at the Westport Center for Senior Activities (WCSA).  The contents of the food box is a mix of  shelf-stable and perishable food items including fruits, vegetables, dairy, and meats.
 

The distribution will occur from 12 pm - 1 pm. The distribution of the boxes will be contact free - once you arrive at the site, just pop your trunk. Boxes will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.  

If you are unable to attend Tuesday's event, below is a list of other local food resources: 
 

Homes with Hope's Community Kitchen (Gillespie Center 45 Jesup Rd.) 
  • Contactless, curb-side prepared meals daily (lunch 12pm, dinner 5pm), groceries available by request Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri from 1-4pm. Call 203-226-1661 or www.hwhct.org

Norwalk is offering a region-wide, contactless food drive thru on Wednesdays 9am-12pm at Calf Pasture Beach.  No appointment necessary.

 
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)
