Medical marijuana has been legal in Connecticut since 2012 and adult-use recreational cannabis became legal in our state this past July. But what about psilocybin – the active ingredient in "magic mushrooms"? Psilocybin has been found to be a potential treatment against anxiety, depression, and other mental ailments. In fact, the drug is now legal for mental health treatment in Oregon.

I spoke with Lucy Nalpathanchil, host of WNPR's Where We Live program, about a task force looking into the possible use of psilocybin for medical purposes. Listen to the Where We Live interview, click the image below:
