Grants Available for Farmers

Dec. 2, 2022

Dear Neighbor,

We are blessed with farms that help define our towns' character and boost our local economy. But whether those tending the land are fourth-generation land owners or young farmers just starting out, it's always helpful to have financial support.

Therefore, I'm pleased that the Connecticut Department of Agriculture (DOAG) administers many grant programs that are beneficial to the farmers and farmland in our state and our towns. I wanted to share two of these programs with you: the Farmland Restoration Grant and the Climate Smart Agriculture and Forestry Grant.

These grants are available to all those who qualify, please follow the links below for more information. If you are applying, please reach out to my office as I will put together a letter of support for your application.

To request a letter of support or if you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me at Christine.Palm@cga.ct.gov.
