Upcoming CSDE Virtual Learning Session

Dec. 9, 2022

Dear Neighbor,

It’s no secret our schools have experienced a lot of upheaval over the past two years. How is your child’s school doing with all these changes? Tune in Wednesday, December 14 from 5:00 to 6 p.m. to learn how to find out.

On the 14th, the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) will host a virtual, interactive session to teach parents and families how to use CT EdSight — a great resource for anyone seeking a better understanding of how schools in our district are performing.

The virtual session, presented by Ajit Gopalakrishnan, CSDE Chief Performance Officer, will walk you through how to navigate the CT EdSight system. You’ll also learn how to find information for specific student groups, such as English language learners or students with disabilities.

While this session is open to all parents interested in school and district performance data, it will be particularly informative for members of boards of education, school governance councils, PTAs, PTOs, SEPTAs, and staff working with parent leaders.

Participating using a computer or tablet, rather than a phone, is recommended. If you have any questions or require additional information, email Judy.carson@ct.gov

Register here to participate. Please share this session with anyone who might benefit from this information!

Please feel free to contact me by email at Christine.Palm@cga.ct.gov with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Christine Palm

State Representative
