Representative Gregg Haddad (D-Mansfield) announced that the Town of Mansfield will receive a  total of $24,012,371 of funding through the Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) program, Education Cost Sharing (ESC) funds and other grants for the 2024 fiscal year in the recently signed state budget. This is a $843,350 increase from the 2023 fiscal year.

Representative Haddad helped secure $11,211,561 through the PILOT program for the 2024 fiscal year. This is a $740,261 increase from the 2023 fiscal year. Additionally, Mansfield will receive $9,562,811 in ECS funds for the 2024 fiscal year. This is an increase of $103,089 from the ECS funding provided to Mansfield during the 2023 fiscal year.

“I am proud to have successfully secured funding for Mansfield in the state budget. The money allocated from ECS funds will help students in our public schools thrive,” said Representative Haddad. "The funds from the PILOT program will greatly benefit our district as a whole and I look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our community."

Governor Ned Lamont signed the two-year state budget into law Monday.
