This year's biennial budget came in under the spending cap by $200,000 in Year One and $5 million under in Year Two.

Economic development and employment opportunities were some of the most discussed topics amongst legislators this session.

I will be hosting this community-focused event for the 104th district on this Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Emmett O'Brien Technical High School, 141 Prindle Ave., Ansonia.

I supported multiple pieces of legislation to get our work force trained, bring in more businesses to CT, and give current businesses the tools and opportunities necessary to expand.

This legislative session, we passed many laws protecting women.

Several new laws went into effect Oct. 1 including one that will directly help 5,600 residents in Ansonia and Derby as we implement an increase in the minimum wage.

I am happy to share the announcement of $1 million in state aid awarded to Derby’s Housing Authority for improvements to Cicia Manor, which provides housing to elderly and disabled residents.
