Governor Lamont Releases Biennium State Budget Proposal
February 12, 2021Wednesday afternoon, the Governor announced his budget proposal for the 2022/23 fiscal years. This is the first step in a months-long process where the budget will go to the legislature's Appropriations and Finance, Revenue & Bonding Committees for further review and public hearings for input from residents and stakeholders.

Lamont Extends Emergency Declaration
January 29, 2021This week Governor Lamont extended the declaration of the public health emergency until April 20, 2021. This extension will allow our state to continue receiving federal support and its rapid response to the pandemic. The legislature has been involved in the development and implementation of the emergency orders and can override them if necessary.
