Emergency Response Fund Passes House
November 21, 2025Last week, the legislature convened in special session to address several important matters, including the need for temporary adjustments to the Budget Reserve Fund and the appropriation of funds to offset reductions in federal programs such as SNAP, WIC, and others that directly impact our Connecticut residents. We also took up a number of additional priorities aimed at supporting essential state programs and maintaining fiscal stability. House Bill No. HB-8003 is the state's $500 million funding response to cutbacks in federal funding.

SNAP Update
October 30, 2025As I am sure you've heard, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) food benefits are ending November 1. This means that 5,665 of our Danbury neighbors will not have access to food because of the chaos, cruelty, and corruption in Washington.
Danbury Receives Funding for After School Program
October 22, 2025Great news! Danbury Public Schools received over $150,000 in state funding for their after-school program. After-school programs are vital to the development of the young people in our community. I am grateful for this investment into our future.
First Day of Early Voting
October 20, 2025As a reminder, today is the first day of early voting. Registered Danbury voters have two options if they wish to cast their ballot ahead of election day - polls will be open at Danbury City Hall (155 Deer Hill Ave) and the Midtown Student Union at Western Connecticut State University (181 White St.).

DOT Update for Danbury
September 18, 2025The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct driver counter measure system maintenance and recertification on I-84 westbound at Exit 8 in Danbury on Monday, September 29 with a rain date of Tuesday, September 30.
