Severe Cold Weather Protocol is Now in Effect

January 21, 2025

The state’s severe cold weather protocol went into effect on Sunday. It will remain in effect through noon on Friday, January, 24th. During this period, temperatures are expected to remain below freezing throughout the daytime hours, and overnight temperatures are anticipated to drop into the single digits and possibly below zero.

Head Start on Housing Program Expands

Exciting news!

Since its launch, Connecticut’s Head Start on Housing pilot program has housed 144 families consisting of 317 children. Specifically, 85 school-aged children and 232 Head Start/Early Head Start aged children have been housed.
