After decades of fighting against marriage discrimination and for equal protection under the law, the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) has finally ruled in favor of marriage equality. This is a tremendous victory for not only advocates, but also for supporters of basic civil rights. Now families across this great nation will be protected and treated equally under the law. I am proud that Connecticut led the way in this fight for equality and justice and applaud the Court for their decision.
