Dear neighbor,

I would like to extend an invitation for you to join me and fellow representative Amy Morrin Bello for an exciting event entitled "Connections and the River" on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at OC Kitchen & Bar, 2399 Main Street in Rocky Hill.

The event will focus on connecting our communities along the Connecticut River and is open to the public but space is limited. Please RSVP to alanbaglia@gmail.com.

Rocky Hill Ferry Park

  • With thanks to Rocky Hill Parks & Recreation, a new bike repair station will enhance the much anticipated car-free loop from Wethersfield to Glastonbury to Rocky Hill via Putnam Bridge, Rocky Hill-Glastonbury Ferry, and the Great Meadows

Bipartisan Infrastructure Law 

  • Safe Streets for All Planning Grant Awarded to the towns of Wethersfield and Rocky Hill for Silas Deane Highway Corridor Study. The Planning and Demonstration Grants help develop safety action plans, using “quick-build” strategies to test out safety features such as separated bicycle lanes or curb extensions at intersections.

CT DoAG Announces Release of Agricultural Enhancement Grant to Address Gaps in State's Agricultural Industry 
 
The Connecticut Department of Agriculture is pleased to announce the 2024 Agricultural Enhancement Grant Program (previously known as the Farm Viability Grant) is now available for eligible Connecticut municipalities, groups of municipalities, regional councils of governments, and/or agricultural non-profit organizations for projects that directly impact or foster agricultural viability. Applications are due February 16, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. Link to grant HERE.
 
Regional Pre-School Expo, Wednesday January 10th
There will be an opportunity to explore Preschool options in Wethersfield and surrounding areas and to learn more about the Regional School Choice Office (RSCO) lottery and Magnet Schools at the Rocky Hill Community/Senior Center on Wednesday, January 10th!
