Dear Neighbor,

I wanted to share a couple of fast-approaching events that may interest you as well as an appearance on NBCConnecticut this week to discuss a bill for health insurance for small businesses and nonprofits. As Chair of the Insurance and Real Estate Committee, providing access to quality, affordable health care is one of our top priorities.
 
Meet Women's Business Development Staff February 26th
You can meet the WBDC staff and hear about all the services they provide to women entrepreneurs throughout Connecticut, at the YWCA Hartford Region, 135 Broad Street in Hartford, on Monday, February 26th from 12 to 2 p.m. The staff will share information on classes, business advising, and grants for your small business.

$2 Million in State Funding Headed to Rocky Hill Housing Authority

Join us this Friday, February 23, 2024, at 11 AM at the Rocky Hill Housing Authority at 36 Willow Road in Rocky Hill with Lt Gov Susan Bysiewicz, to announce $2M in state funding for upgrades to the property.

Additionally, I secured $55,000 in our budget to give the Housing Authority money to design & plan for additional housing onsite.

As you may be aware, the wait list for a unit in this facility is three to five years. I am committed to building more affordable units for our town’s seniors and I hope you will join me for this celebratory announcement
