During Thursday's session, the House passed SB 176.This bill further illustrates the Connecticut General Assembly's emphasis on creating clean energy focused future. SB 176 expands local deployment of solar power and creates several clean energy jobs. It also protects farmland, expands solar programs, supports local businesses and protects the environment. This bill passed through the Senate on April 26 - all that is left is the Governor's signature.

The 2022 legislative session is now in the home stretch. Over the next few weeks, my colleagues and I will spend countless hours crafting and passing legislation. I wanted to highlight a few bills that were passed this week:

The 2022 session is well underway. Although the House of Representatives does not convene every single day, there is still plenty of work that needs to be done behind the scenes and in committee with public hearings and committee meetings.

As you know, the work of a legislator does not stop when the legislature is not in session. I spend most of my time during the week attending meetings and advocating for legislation that will positively impact the 57th district. Below is a list of the events I attended over the past two weeks.
