Attention Danbury residents - Eversource has begun work on an Underground Cable Modernization Program (UCMP) in Danbury, which involves replacing two aging 115-kilovolt underground electric transmission lines.

The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services (DRS) is alerting taxpayers to a new scam where scammers are impersonating the DRS by sending fraudulent text messages. The texts fraudulently claim that you are owed a tax refund from the DRS and require you to provide banking and other information in order to receive the refund.

The DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will take place on October 25 from 10 AM - 2 PM. On this day, residents will be able to safely and securely dispose of unused or expired medications. Click here to find a drop-off site near you.

I am proud to announce that I received an A on the Connecticut Education Association (CEA) legislative report card. CEA releases a report card annually that grades legislators based on their voting history and support of the organization's priorities.

I'm proud to announce that I had a perfect voting record for the 2025 legislative session.
I am honored by this accomplishment because it means that our community's voice was heard on every bill that was voted on.

As a reminder, Sierra Club Connecticut and I will hold a community walk at Farrington Woods in Danbury on Sunday, September 27. We’ll take a short, accessible walk (about 1 mile), explore the local ecology, discuss important environmental issues and legislation, and pick up trash along the way to help keep the preserve clean.

Tomorrow, we remember the 2,996 lives lost on September 11, 2001, the thousands who have died since due to exposure to toxic chemicals, and the countless lives that were forever changed. Like many others, I lost people in my life on that fateful day- friends, former classmates, and other individuals from the community.

Speaker of the House Matt Ritter and Hartford Distributors Inc, joined by Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz and Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam, are hosting the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales outside the State Capitol. The Clydesdale team will be in Connecticut to showcase Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of U.S. military service members and first responders who have fallen or been disabled while serving our country and communities.
