Connecticut residents deserve clean air, but transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions have contributed to worsening air quality. Investing and encouraging economywide electric vehicle distribution is needed to reduce these emissions, and ultimately improve air quality. 

The time has come today to "Invest In Our Planet." That is the theme of Earth Day 2022 because climate change is not only an environmental issue but an increasingly economic one as well.

The solution to the I-95 noise problem will not be easy and will take more work. I am grateful for the work of the community group, specifically the Stop the Noise 95 group, the Riverside Association, and the Byram Neighborhood Association for their strong advocacy in our conversations with the Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT). I want to personally thank the governor for his help and consideration of our efforts.
