Today is Maternal Health Awareness Day. Connecticut House Democrats stand strong in our commitment to improving maternal health for all, from prenatal care to postpartum support.

The state’s severe cold weather protocol went into effect on Sunday. It will remain in effect through noon on Friday, January, 24th. During this period, temperatures are expected to remain below freezing throughout the daytime hours, and overnight temperatures are anticipated to drop into the single digits and possibly below zero.

Democratic State Representative Kenneth Gucker was sworn in for his second stint as a state representative. Rep. Gucker will represent the 138th House district, covering Danbury.
