Clone of May 7 Deadline Approaching to Secure REAL ID
April 23, 2025There are just two weeks left to secure your REAL ID which will be needed beginning May 7 for a variety of purposes, most notably to board domestic flights.
Starting Wednesday May 7, you will need a REAL ID, U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card to board domestic flights or access certain federal facilities (such as military bases and other federal buildings).

DOT Update for Danbury
April 10, 2025Attention Danbury residents - guiderail upgrades will be performed on Route 37 in New Fairfield and Danbury from Route 39 to I-84 starting on Monday, April 14. The project consists of upgrading existing guiderail systems to current standard systems. It is slated to be be completed on Monday, May 12.
April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month
April 2, 2025April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, and I would like to share with you that the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is taking a stand with the launch of a statewide Distracted Driving Awareness and Enforcement Campaign to help keep Connecticut roads safe.
DOT Update
March 28, 2025The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced that there will be repairs to the bridge milling and concrete deck on I-84 between Exits 3 and 7 in Danbury starting Monday, April 7. There are four bridges remaining that are slated for rehabilitation. The project is scheduled to be completed in October 2025.

March 21, 2025The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that wrong way driver preventative maintenance and recertification will be performed on I-84 east and westbound at various exit ramps in our area. This project is scheduled to start on Tuesday, March 25. The project consists of wrong way driver preventative maintenance and recertification on I-84.
National K9 Veterans Day
March 13, 2025March 13, 1942 marks the official birthday of the U.S Army K9 Corps! To honor the service and sacrifice of U.S. Military Working Dogs, March 13th is now recognized as National K9 Veterans Day.
