Late last week, I sent out an email regarding the current status of SNAP. On Friday, two federal judges ruled that at least some funding from the USDA emergency fund had to be released.

I can't believe I am sending out information in this newsletter on where people can get food. But this is life under the current leadership in Washington, D.C.

Connecticut's annual Sales Tax-Free Week begins on Sunday, Aug. 17, and runs through Saturday, Aug. 23. It provides a chance to save money, whether it is taking the kids back-to-school shopping or treating yourself or your loved oness.
