This week, I had the honor of testifying at two public hearings in favor of two bills that I sponsored.

We're about one month into the 2023 Legislative Session and this week marked the start of our committees’ public hearings.

In the past week in California, there were three unrelated mass shootings in the span of 44 hours resulting in 19 people killed. Connecticut is not immune to the rise in gun violence throughout the country.

One of the most exciting parts of being your representative is the ability to submit bills for consideration.
 
I was thrilled to submit legislation to grow employment in education and health; to rebuild our transportation infrastructure; to protect our environment; and to care for our first responders.

On Wednesday, January 4th, I was sworn into the Connecticut General Assembly as the State Representative for the 149th District. I will be serving on the Appropriations, Government Administration & Elections, and Transportation Committees. As your state representative, I look forward to serving you. It is my goal to work to make Connecticut a better place to live, work, and raise a family.

CareerConneCT is expanding its intake portal. The goal of CareerConneCT is to provide underemployed and unemployed Connecticut residents with resources and training necessary for the pursuit of a well-paying, high-quality career path. The program provides free job training, case management, supportive services, and employment assistance.
