We're in the full swing of summer and after enduring an extreme heat wave, temperatures remain consistently high. 

You can call 2-1-1 to access essential health and human services 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week. Additionally, the Department of Emergency Services & Public Protection has tips on heat preparedness, keeping cool, and staying hydrated, which you will find below.

End of Session Groton Town Hall

Please join State Representative Anthony Nolan, State Representative Aundré Bumgardner, and I next Tuesday, July 15 at 6pm at Thrive 55+ (102 Newtown Road) for our end of session town hall! We will discuss how Groton fared in our past legislative session, talk about our priorities moving forward, and hear what's on your mind. I hope to see you there!
 
Celebrate New London!

Join City of New London, Connecticut on Saturday, July 12 for an epic celebration of all things New London — capped off with New England’s largest fireworks display over the Thames River, thanks Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation
  • Stop by our downtown restaurants for delicious, diverse cuisine or grab a bite from one of the many tasty food trucks lining the festival.
  • Explore our Creative Village, a vibrant marketplace on State Street near Parade Plaza — a collaboration by The Annex, The Golden Owl, and the New London Arts Council. Discover unique handcrafted art, live painting, and fun interactive experiences!
