I am very proud of legislation that passed with overwhelming support in both the House and Senate regarding Connecticut’s rapidly growing craft beer, wine and cider industries. In just a few short years these industries have grown from a few hundred jobs to several thousand and generate millions for the state economy. 

After many hours of debate over the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) legislation, the House of Representatives passes the bill, which has already been approved by the Senate.

The House of Representatives unanimously passed an important bill that has been six years in the making.

HB 5833, An Act Establishing a Pilot Program for the Expansion of Advanced Manufacturing Certificate Programs unanimously passes the House of Representatives.

Hard-working families in Connecticut got a boost today with Gov. Lamont signing legislation to increase the state’s minimum wage. I believe anyone working a full-time job should earn enough to support themselves and their family. This legislation is a step in the right direction.

The House of Representatives are in session and we passed HB 5002 which is a comprehensive energy bill the will extend virtual net metering for two more years breathing life into the solar power industry.

The House of Representatives passed some important legislation this week including a bill that reduces health care costs.
