The Student Loan Reimbursement Program reopens on Friday. It provides up to $5,000 a year in loan reimbursement for CT residents who meet service and income criteria. Funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. I've included all the details about the program below.

I attended a roundtable discussion on food insecurity, as well as meal options available for kids and teens during the summer, on Friday.

We're in the midst of our second heat wave of the summer, and it's only mid-July. It's Connecticut. We love our differing seasons, including this one. However, during times like these, it is important to stay hydrated. Let's also keep an eye on our most vulnerable, and of course, our furry friends. The state's extreme heat protocol ends on Friday.

Next month, new laws will go into effect. Some of them are from years ago, while others are the result of legislation we passed this year. Some of the changes that are coming include additional funding for schools, securing our elections, protecting libraries, and more.

The legislative session has come to an end. This was my first time in Hartford representing all of you. I am so proud to be speaking up for our community and to help pass legislation benefiting everyone across Connecticut.

We are in the final stretch of the legislative session. With just a week left, my colleagues and I are busy getting important bills across the finish line. This week, we made some great progress addressing the housing crisis in our state - passing a bill that will promote affordable housing development, increase the options for where apartments can be built, and support unhoused people across the state.

Introducing my first bill as a freshman is like playing quidditsch and I've never even flown on a broom.
