As we settle into the final weeks of the 2025 legislative session, I wanted to let you know that improving the healthcare of our seniors, protecting warehouse workers, and protecting our kids on social media along with public health and our economy, are at the forefront of our legislative priorities.

I stand in full support of our machinists at Pratt & Whitney who continue to make Connecticut a leader in the aerospace field. East Hartford is steeped in pride and traditions around Pratt, and their workforce.

The House was back in session this week! My colleagues and I met three times, passing bills including the HERO Act and the Firearm Responsibility Act. These bills are proof that our state has its values in the right place—taking care of those who defend our country and making sure the people they fought to protect are safe.

Despite what the snow last weekend wants us to think, spring is upon us. So is the East Hartford and Manchester Interactive Discussion.

Spring showers arriving in Hartford are a clear sign we are in the back half of this legislative session.

We are knee-deep into the public hearing season. There are only a couple of weeks left until the committee process finishes up with votes on what should be sent to the leadership teams for consideration to be brought to the floor and voted on as a chamber.

We were in session on Wednesday to vote on a new special education funding plan that provides $40 million in immediate relief for school districts.

It's been a busy week in Hartford, as my colleagues and I continue to fight for legislation addressing some of the most pressing issues facing our communities.
