My work to advocate for and improve early childhood literacy continues! Early in October we celebrated the $1 million I successfully advocated for in the state budget ($500,000 in each fiscal year over the next two years) at Norwalk Hospital during National Book Month. With this funding every baby born at a hospital in the state will be given free books and their parents and caregivers access to the tools and resources they need to be empowered and successful in their roles as their child’s first teachers.

On Tuesday, December 12, the LGBTQ+ Caucus will hold two virtual office hours - the first from 10 AM - 1 PM and another from 4 PM -7 PM. State Representatives Currey, Allie-Brennan, Brown and I will be available to talk with you virtually. Click here to schedule a time to meet with us.

The City of Norwalk will hold an Informational Session on Norwalk’s 2023 Revaluation Project Wednesday, November 15, at 7:00 PM at City Hall. This is a great opportunity to learn what phase of the Revaluation process the City is in, what phase is next and have any of your questions answered.

The Housing Advisory Panel voted on Friday to approve one-time grant funding awards as part of the Interest on Real Estate Brokers Trust Account (IOREBTA) Program. Three organizations that service our community, Homes with Hope, Open Doors, and Star Inc. all received grant money.
