Great news! Norwalk was one of the 46 school districts in Connecticut that will receive state funding to build and expand high dosage tutoring for our students. Norwalk Public Schools has been allocated $278,200 for their program.

The winds of change are blowing! Earlier this month, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island announced the first-of-its-kind effort in the United States to coordinate their offshore wind efforts, which opens up the potential to procure clean energy together at more competitive and affordable rates.

I am proud to announce that Westport and Norwalk both received state funding. The State Bond Commission, which met last Friday, allocated $2,427,204 to the Westport Country Playhouse, and funding for several projects in Norwalk. Thank you Governor Lamont and the rest of the bond commission for their consideration of our community!

The Connecticut State Department of Education is awarding $3.8 million to 83 applicants representing 89 school districts to expand dual credit offerings in high schools, including $76,420 for Westport and $90,000 for Norwalk. The primary objective of the state’s Dual Credit Expansion Grant Program is to enable more high school students to earn college credits prior to graduation through partnerships formed between high schools and public and private colleges and universities.

Attention Norwalk residents - Mayor Rilling and the City's Transportation, Mobility and Parking Department will hold a Complete Streets Public Workshop tomorrow night from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm in the Community Room at City Hall. Town officials want to hear your input to help shape the future of how our streets are designed.
