Today, I was proud to join Governor Lamont, the federal delegation, my legislative colleagues, Connecticut Department of Transportation Commissioner Joseph Giulietti and more today to announce a $12.6 million Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability & Equity (RAISE) grant for modernization and improvements to the Derby train station and its multimodal transportation hub.

Last Monday, I was happy to join Governor Lamont, the federal delegation, my colleagues in the state delegations, officials from the state Department of Transportation, local officials and more to discuss the passage of the bipartisan federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which the president signed into law earlier this week.

This session, I proudly helped deliver additional state funding for our community and supported bills that provide real relief for working families. We passed legislation to provide health care coverage for all Connecticut children 8 years and ensure dependent children can stay on their parent or guardians' dental and vision insurance plans until 26 years of age, among many other initiatives.

State Representative Kara Rochelle (D – Ansonia/Derby) is bringing Future Fair back on Saturday, October 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside in the Ansonia High School parking lot, 20 Pulaski Hwy! After a hiatus last year, the event is back for a second year and will connect Valley residents to helpful resources and opportunities to build a stronger future for themselves, their family, and the community.
