Extreme Hot Weather Protocol and Bridgeport Cooling Centers
July 2, 2026The state has activated the Extreme Hot Weather Protocol due to a long-duration heat wave featuring severely hot and humid weather. The protocol is in effect fromnow through at least 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 5th. During this period, temperatures are expected to get progressively warmer each day, with 90+ highs Wednesday through Saturday. Heat peaks Thursday and Friday with highs between 95-100.

End of the 2026 Legislative Session

It was an exciting and productive short Legislative Session, and we passed numerous pieces of legislation to address affordability, protections for residents, and so much more. It has been a true honor and privilege to serve as your State Representative and advocate for the residents of Bridgeport's 124th District.
