Introducing Bi-Partisan Fire and EMS Caucus

May 18, 2017

I along with State Rep. Brian Ohler introduced the bi-partisan Fire and EMS Caucus today at the State Capitol. The caucus is open to all state legislators and will focus on the specific public safety issues that our first responders must navigate on a daily basis.

This caucus will foster a stronger connection between the legislative process and the men and women who serve as our first responders in the field.

Ohler and I, both freshman legislators, have found common ground since the session began. We both represent similar districts and also have over a decade of service as members of our local volunteer fire and EMS departments.

Since the announcement was made twenty legislators, from both parties, have already responded with interest in membership.
