Along with the heat a number of new laws go into effect today, including benefits for first responders who have been determined to have post-traumatic stress disorder after experiencing a traumatic event while on the job.

Last week I joined my legislative colleagues to bring attention to the June 12th incident where an estimated 50,000 gallons of water and PFAS foam stored at the private Signature Flight hangar at Bradley Airport leaked into the Farmington River.​

Memorial Day is a moment where we remember and honor persons who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. In Bloomfield, we all came together to honor the memories of those who fought for our freedom.

May offers an opportunity to thank, appreciate, and celebrate our mothers, but it can also give us the chance to ask ourselves if we are doing enough to support the health of mothers in our country.

The House took action approving a resolution that would include a ballot question to amend the State Constitution to allow for an in-person early voting system. Once the resolution gets final legislative approval, the question will appear on the November 2020 ballot for voters to decide if Connecticut should implement it.

Stop & Shop you have been a great community partner, however you are not taking care of home. Shame on you. Make this right. We have to stand up for each other. Don’t cross the line.
