As you begin spring cleaning, clearing out old medications is an essential step toward a refreshed and safe home. National Drug Takeback Day, administered by the DEA, will take place on Saturday, April 25.

The CTDOT has announced that bridge work will be performed on I-95 north and southbound in Bridgeport, Stratford, Milford, and Stamford starting on Sunday night, April 19, and will be completed on Friday, July 3. This project ensures the bridges remain in a state of good repair.

On April 8, the House voted on a bill to require the participation of retail stores in Connecticut’s first-in-the-nation tire stewardship program. House Bill 5157 would give retailers until July 1, 2027, to formally join the stewardship program. The House voted 124-21 in favor of the bill, now headed to the Senate.

A single organ donor can save up to eight lives and enhance the lives of more than 75 others through tissue and cornea donations. Less than 60% of American adults are registered donors.
