You may not know that today is World Book Day. So much of our time and attention is focused on COVID-19 these days, that it’s rare we focus on news like this. I hope you will join me in enjoying a book on your own or with your family this evening.

Throughout this week, I am hoping you will take the opportunity to connect with me in one of a few forums.

Spring Break is over for our students and while they may dread the return to classwork, I know so many of you would love to be able to get back to work.

On a typical Friday evening, we’d be winding down from a week at work or school, getting ready to go out with friends or perhaps headed to one of our amazing Fairfield restaurants.

We have lost 18 of our fellow Fairfielders, 868 here in Connecticut and 28,383 throughout our nation.

As families leave the holiday celebrations behind and parents and students navigate what is probably the most unique Spring Break they’ll ever have, we find the conversations about outcomes and social distancing beginning to include what we do next.

A powerful storm is forecast to impact most of the state today.
