Work is in full swing on a sprawling Amazon fulfillment center that will bring in an estimated 1,000 full-time jobs to Waterbury and Naugatuck.

Governor Ned Lamont announced $3 million in emergency state funding for Connecticut Foodshare to assist residents expected to lose access to federal food assistance. 

The state approved approximately $1 million for CT Renaissance to purchase the McAuliffe Center. This funding will expand access to essential services that help individuals on the path to recovery and stability.

Construction is underway to renovate Waterbury's train station, and a new grocery store has opened in the 75th District, addressing a huge need to provide nutritious food in our community.

We celebrated the passage of a measure proudly making Connecticut one of the first states in the nation to formally recognize and preserve the culture and heritage of Taíno descendants.

Today, we recognize the deep roots and ongoing contributions of Indigenous communities in Connecticut.

October marks the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I sponsored the Strikeout Cancer Softball tournament in Waterbury, an event that brought people together to enjoy the game and stand in solidarity with those affected by cancer.
