I stand in strong support of Connecticut’s Trust Act, a law that reflects the core values of dignity, fairness, and community safety, especially for our immigrant community.

I am proud to champion two bills honoring Connecticut’s deep ties to Puerto Rico. One proposal would establish a new trade commission between both locations and another would honor the Borinqueneers with a special motor vehicle license plate.

Investing in the expansion of public transportation is essential for economic growth, social equity, and environmental sustainability in Waterbury and all of Connecticut.

Operation Fuel is taking applications for emergency energy and utility assistance to those in need. Congratulations to Waterbury’s own Cicero Booker, Jr. for his induction into Connecticut’s Veterans Hall of Fame.

Even though the company that owns Waterbury Hospital has filed for bankruptcy protection, I assure you the hospital is open to patients, ready to serve the community, and will not close.
