House Special Session
December 1, 2022With many families in Connecticut facing added financial strain due to rising prices, the legislature went into special session earlier this week to provide some relief. A bipartisan bill passed by the General Assembly and signed into law by Governor Lamont extends the current suspension of the gasoline tax, provides additional funding for energy assistance programs, and continues premium pay for frontline workers.

Community Investment Fund 2030
November 3, 2022The CIF was established in 2021 with the goal of promoting economic and community development in Connecticut’s Public Investment Communities and Alliance Districts. Such municipalities, as well as community development corporations and nonprofit organizations serving such municipalities, are eligible to apply. Applications for the second round of CIF funding, totaling up to $98,522,165, are due by 4:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2023.

Hartford to Receive 45 Million in Funding for City Projects
August 2, 2022I am pleased to announce that Hartford will receive $4.5 million in funding for various projects that will significantly improve our city.
The state targeted funding to the City of Hartford, the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), the Connecticut Science Center, and several local neighborhood non-profits to help with their missions.
