Renters' Rebate Program Opens April 1st
March 30, 2021The Renters' Rebate program opens April 1st, and runs through October 1st. This program provides rental reimbursement to elderly and disabled residents in need. These rebates can be up to $900 for married couples and $700 for individuals. The amount is based on a graduated income scale and the amount of rent and utility payments (excluding telephone) made in the prior calendar year.
Equal Pay Day 2021
March 24, 2021Today is Equal Pay Day—a day that marks the point at which it takes a woman on average to earn what her male counterpart did the year before. In 2020, a woman in Connecticut earned only $0.83 for every dollar that a white, non-Hispanic man made.
Covid-19 Vaccine Age Eligibility Expanded
March 19, 2021Today, the state began expanding Covid-19 vaccine eligibility to individuals aged 45 to 54. If you are in this age category, you should be able to begin the scheduling process.
