December 22, 2023Connecticut is offering a wonderful new program that will make applying for higher education much easier - and less expensive - for graduating high school students. The Connecticut Automatic Admission Program allows students who meet certain criteria to be automatically admitted to several Connecticut colleges and universities by filling out a single application form, free of charge!
Bloomfield High School Renames Gym in Honor of Donald F. Harris, Jr.
December 20, 2023Attention Bloomfield residents and fellow Warhawks - our gym will be renamed to honor Donald F. Harris, Jr. There will be a ceremony this Friday, December 22 to celebrate this recognition in between the Junior Varsity and Varsity Boys Basketball games vs. Wethersfield.
Kwanza Event this Sunday
December 15, 2023On Sunday, December 17, I will host a Kwanza event alongside the Sankofa Kuumba Cultural Arts Consortium. The event will take place at the Alvin & Beatrice Wood Services Center from 2 PM - 5 PM. There will be live performances, presentations about the importance of the holiday, and refreshments. Bloomfield Senior Services Receives Grant
November 20, 2023Great news! The Bloomfield Senior Services has received a Livable Communities Grant from AARP Connecticut! This grant will help create art-themed adventures in the Bloomfield community ranging from trips to local attractions to a meditation and drum circle program.

Age in Place Safely Grant Program is Now Open
November 9, 2023The Age in Place Safely Grant Program application is now open through December 8. If you need help with the application, there will be three intake sessions over the next few weeks. The first meeting will be tonight at the Marilyn Michaelson Senior Center of Bloomfield from 5 pm - 7pm. Hope to see you there!
