This week, Connecticut crossed a significant milestone as Governor Ned Lamont announced on Thursday that more than 1 million residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Unlike Georgia which recently adopted a new law to make it harder for voters to cast their ballots, Connecticut can be on the right side of history.

We are about halfway through the 2021 legislative session! Most committees have already finished the work of drafting and voting on legislation to move on to the next step of the process. Bills that have been voted out of committee head to the floor of either the House or the Senate to either be referred to another committee, or to potentially be called for a vote by the chamber. Many proposals will have further revision through floor amendments before they are passed. If there are bills or legislative proposals that you are curious about, please reach out anytime.

As of Thursday, all CT residents aged 16 and older are now eligible to schedule their COVID-19 vaccine appointment! The new eligibility bracket opening features about 1.3 million newly eligible residents, I encourage you to be patient as you try to access an appointment near you. Each day more appointments are being added.

Great news! As Connecticut continues a successful vaccine rollout, Governor Ned Lamont announced Thursday that all Connecticut residents aged 16 and older will become eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine on April 1 (four days sooner than the previously accelerated timeline).
