Great news for the city of Danbury, which is set to receive $1.5 million from the state Bond Commission today for capital costs related to the Franklin Street project.

I hope you made it through the first heat wave of the summer without any issues. On a couple of days it reached over 100 degrees.

Due to an anticipated stretch of high temperatures, the state is activating its Extreme Hot Weather Protocol, effective at noon on Sunday, June 22. The protocol will remain in effect through at least 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25.

More great news for Danbury coming from the state. Gov. Ned Lamont announced Thursday that the city will receive two $200,000 grants, $400,000 total, to assess the Fairfield County Courthouse on Main Street and the property at 13 Barnum Court.
