I released the following statement last week, but the sentiment remains, particularly in light of what has transpired since.

My heart goes out to the family of the woman killed in Minnesota. While we may not yet have all the facts, what is certain is this: a life was lost. And I am outraged by that.

I want to wish everyone a happy, safe and healthy new year. I'm looking forward to a productive 2026 representing Danbury at the State Capitol.

As we gather with loved ones and reflect on the year behind us, I want to thank you — truly — for your trust, your engagement, and your steadfast support.

I’m incredibly proud of the progress Mayor Roberto Alves highlighted in today’s State of the City Address. When we came into office, we found a city headed in the wrong direction, and together, we worked hard to right the ship. Danbury is now on a stronger, more prosperous path.
