After months of negotiations, the Legislature approved a state budget that includes the largest income tax cut in the state’s history and significant increases in funding for local schools, also known as Education Cost Sharing (ECS) funds.

Unlike other states, Connecticut has taken consistent steps to protect reproductive rights. I was proud to lead our latest effort on the floor of the House of Representatives this week.

Great green garden news for Hamden! Yesterday, Governor Lamont announced that the Town of Hamden will receive $46,875 in state funding to create 5 new school community gardens.

The House of Representatives passed HJ 1 yesterday, which means you will get to decide if we amend the state constitution to allow no-excuse absentee voting in 2024.

Connecticut voters asked the legislature for more voting options through a constitutional amendment on early voting that they overwhelmingly approved, and we are answering the call.
