Meriden's 52nd Puerto Rican Festival is coming up Sunday, August 4 at Hubbard Park and ahead of the celebration, we will host a Puerto Rico flag raising ceremony.

As we wrapped up the last six months of work, one of the most talked about issues was the state budget, but equally important are many measures we passed that may be of interest to you, some of which have already been signed by Governor Lamont.

I am pleased to report the House passed legislation that will facilitate minority teacher recruitment and retention across the state.
