Conflict Specific License Plates Now Available to CT Veterans
March 18, 2022Starting today, Connecticut veterans who served during times of war and in conflict zones will be able apply for a license plate that highlights the specific wartime period they served.
Putnam DMV Office to Open
March 10, 2022In case you missed it, the Department of Motor Vehicles office in Putnam is expected to open within the next 90 days. The facility has been closed for about 2 years due to the pandemic.

Rep. Boyd Hails State Bonding for Pomfret Library Expansion
December 21, 2021State Representative Pat Boyd (D – Brooklyn, Eastford, Pomfret, Union, Woodstock) is pleased to welcome $421,800 in state bonding for the expansion of the Pomfret Public Library located at 449 Pomfret Street (Route 44). The Connecticut State Bond Commission approved the funding during its meeting today, December 21.
Bringing a Permanent DMV Office to CT's Quiet Corner
December 17, 2021I recently extended an invitation for the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles Deputy Commissioner Tony Guerrera to attend the Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce Breakfast to update the community on the work being done to get a permanent CT DMV Office in the Quiet Corner. I am pleased to report that a location has been secured, and it is expected to open with expanded services in the first quarter of 2022.

September 30, 2021The Connecticut General Assembly is scheduled to return for the regular legislative session the first week of February and in preparation, I plan to hold Office Hours and Town Hall events to meet directly with constituents to better inform myself on what is important to the residents of Northeastern Connecticut. I have been spending time this fall meeting with local businesses, municipal leaders, hospital administration, schools, and organizations to better connect the needs of our region with the government bureaucracy in Hartford.
