We need to get a serious cleanup underway for Piper Brook, which flows through Hartford and West Hartford. This green space is overrun with trash, plastics, and an invasive plant species.

As a State Representative, who is Puerto Rican and serves Hartford as well as West Hartford, I was honored to be part of the unveiling of the Puerto Rican parades and festivals at the Legislative Office Building.

It’s been an invigorating week as I met some amazing people all around Hartford and West Hartford. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to hear your stories, and having the opportunity to thank you for your continued support as your State Representative.

One of my priorities as your state representative is to be transparent and accessible. I will strive to answer all your questions and personally address any of your concerns in the 6th district. I am inviting you to meet me in person, and you have several opportunities to do so.

I am proud to have been a part of the big celebration for the grand re-opening of Ropkins Library at SAND School. We cut the ribbon at the renovated space, which is now the home of the first Hartford History Center Annex in the library branch system.

I am proud to support all the cleanup and restoration work taking place at Batterson Park. Crews are in the process of transforming this green space into a destination.

I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the president of Cape Verde to the State Capitol. President José Maria Neves is an incredible leader who believes in democracy, women's rights, education, and health care.

I want to bring positive change to the 6th Assembly House District, and I’m thankful you have the confidence in me to do so. I want to share a list of my legislative priorities to improve our community.
