On December 16, 2023, at noon (Wreath Placement Immediately Following Ceremony), Wreaths Across America will be at Col Raymond F. Gates Memorial Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of every veteran aloud.

The Rocky Hill-Glastonbury Ferry is the nation’s oldest continuously operating ferry, first coming into service in 1655. It travels between Rocky Hill and Glastonbury on the Connecticut River, providing a crossing between Hartford and Middletown.

I hope you can join me for a Thanksgiving Food & Supplies Drive for residents of the Rocky Hill Senior and Disabled housing today at OC Kitchen, 2399 Main Street in Rocky Hill, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. We will be collecting supplies needed to help our neighbors. Pizza will be provided.

The ArrayRx program is now open, and I highly encourage you to take advantage of this free program that can save Connecticut residents up to 80% off certain prescriptions at nearly all pharmacies in the state.

Last week, Connecticut transferred more than $1.3 billion to pay down its long-term pension debt. Since the legislature enacted the state’s “fiscal guardrails” in 2017, more than $7 billion in excess contributions captured from volatile revenue sources have been made to pay down pension debt, resulting in far-reaching savings for Connecticut taxpayers.
