The legislative session is just around the corner, starting on January 8, and now is the perfect time to share your ideas for laws that can make a real difference in our community. Please contact me with bill proposals on any topic including education, healthcare, energy costs, public safety, or another issue you care deeply about. This weekend is the 12th anniversary of the Sandy Hook massacre.

A date that never gets easier. So many lives were affected on this day in 2012, and many continue to struggle with the trauma that followed.

My thoughts are with the victims' families, the survivors of that horrible day, the responding law enforcement and the entire Newtown and Connecticut community. Though time has passed, you will never be forgotten.

I had the great opportunity earlier this month to join, Rep. Joe Courtney, Sen. Blumenthal and local leaders to highlight a $3.9 million federal grant they helped secure to make significant infrastructure improvements to the Cross Sound Ferry Terminal in New London, Connecticut.

I would like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving! This Thanksgiving, take a moment to reflect on everything you are grateful for in life, and consider how you can give back to your community. May your day be filled with warmth and moments of gratitude surrounded by loved ones.

I had the great opportunity to attend the New London Babe Ruth celebration banquet. I was honored to say a few words in regards to recognize the outstanding players of New London Babe Ruth for their dedication, sportsmanship, and achievements this season. A heartfelt thank you for recognition.

Big shout out to the coaches, board members, and volunteers whose tireless efforts and commitment make this program possible. Your support shapes our players’ futures and strengthens our community. Thanks for all you do!

This week, we came together with deep gratitude and respect to honor the men and women who have worn the uniform of our Armed Forces. Veterans Day is a time to recognize the tremendous sacrifice, resilience, and commitment that each of you has demonstrated in service to our country. I ask each of us to take a moment to reflect on what this day truly represents.

Our veterans are a testament to the strength and courage it takes to preserve freedom. They have faced challenges few can imagine, standing firm in the face of danger and enduring long days far from loved ones to protect our way of life. Whether it was during times of conflict or peace, each veteran has carried the weight of duty on their shoulders, with an unwavering dedication that deserves the highest honor.

Monday, November 11 is Veterans Day.

Those who live in freedom will always be grateful to those who helped preserve it. This Veterans Day, to all those who have served and their families, thank you for all you have done for our country. 🇺🇸
