As a member of the Moderate Caucus and the Manufacturing Caucus, I'm proud to co-sponsor the Student-Manufacturer Connection Fair set for Wednesday at the State Capitol in Hartford.

I hosted a veterans coffee hour with Commissioner Thomas Saadi of the Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) presented by the Town of Southington Veterans Committee and Southington Public Library at Calendar House Senior Center.

I presented a citation to the Southington Land Trust recognizing its 50 years of service to the preservation and protection of land in our town. Many congratulations and thanks to all the dedicated members and best wishes for continued success in your endeavors. 

I joined Gov. Ned Lamont and members of the Transportation Committee in Southington as the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) launched a new public awareness campaign on the dangers of wrong-way driving as part of the state’s larger strategy of reversing the catastrophic recent increase in wrong-way crashes and deaths.

The best part of my week was spent touring Southington High School and Hatton Elementary School with school officials and State Rep. Jeff Currey, House Chair of the Education Committee in the Connecticut General Assembly.

On March 20 from 10-11 a.m., Join me and Commissioner Thomas Saadi from the Connecticut Department of Veteran Affairs for Veterans Coffee Hour at Calendar House Senior Center presented by the Town of Southington Veterans Service Office.

I proudly presented Southington Deputy Police Chief William Palmieri with an Official Citation from the Connecticut General Assembly as he was honored by the Southington-Cheshire Community YMCA as its Person of the Year at the Aqua Turf Club.

It is important that we continue to build upon past legislative successes that have allowed Connecticut to keep moving forward, and we voted to continue one of these successes by securing the fiscal guardrails that have allowed the state to cut taxes, invest in families and the economy, pay down debt, and save for the future.
