The 2023 Legislative Session finished on June 7 and I am looking forward to recapping and updating Southington residents about what we accomplished, including passage of a two-year balanced and bipartisan budget, which includes the largest-ever reduction in the state income tax and other tax-relief measures.

Governor Ned Lamont signed into law the new two-year state budget, which includes the largest income tax cut in the state’s history. 

The House of Representatives has adjourned Sine Die for its 2023 legislative session! 

I have helped secure a $500,000 grant to cover the remaining project costs required to dredge Sloper Pond. The funding was part of the new two-year state bipartisan budget.

It was a busy week at the State Capitol with three session days as we work toward our June 7 adjournment.
